The Scarcity of Wheat.
Beerbohm's Wheat Circular stateß that the importing counties will require 55,000,000 quarters of wheat, of which America, Europe and Asia are likely to supply 45,000,000, while the balance will have to come from the Argentine, Australasia and minor exporters. Doubt is expressed whfcther the quantity required will be forthcoming. The Statist saya the Argentine's exports were under 4,000,000 quarters before August. Other authorities estimate the world's deficit from 5,000,000 to 10,000,000 quarters.
