The Mails of the Tasmania.

A party of post office officials, accompanied by a diver, left Napier by the Weka for Mahia on Monday night to make an attempt to recover the Tasmania's mails; Mr Jagoj postmaster, wire 3 that the diver found from 66 to 72 feet of water on the upper deck, which means 80 to 86 to the mail room. Owing to the great pressure at that depth he could only stop down an hour at a time. He found a good deal of hamper over the batches, but he expects to get them open and to recover the mails the following day.
