The Canadian Government has decided to impose a royalty npon all gold from the Yukon river district, British Columbia. The royalty is to be at the rate of 10 per cent, upon a weekly output valued at 500 dollars, and 20 per cent, upon outputs of larger value. The Canadian Government has decided to reserve every alternate placer (gold) claim on the Yukon river field on behalf of the public revenue. ______________ i
