— • . The Ambassadors notified their respective Governments that a demonstration of force would be necessary to secure the acceptance by Turkey of the terms of peace decided upon by the Powers. Immediately this action was taken the Sultan issued an Irade accepting the strategic frontier of Thessaly submitted to him and abandoning the claim to the whole of Thessaly. Contrary to the advice of the Powers the Sultan has despatched Djevad Pasha to direct the operations of the Moslem forces in Crete.
