■ •" " Messrs Abbabah and Williams' .J Stock Repobt. Oar sales for the week comprised Levin, Pahiatna and Palmerston. At Levin'on Friday a medium entry of sheep and a few pens of cattle made up the sale. Good lambs sold freely; other sorts dragged somewhat, bat we ultimately cleared the yards with the exception of a pen or two of sheep, and one of cattle. At Pahiatua we had a small entry of sheep, and a few head of oattle. Bidding was lifeless, though we succeeded in quitting nearly the whole of the stock offered at recent rates. At Palmerston a large entry oi sheep came forward, the entry being largely in excess of advertised num bers. Cattle in short supply, but apparently sufficient for the demand. Good quality ewes in lamb sold freely at an advance on recent rates, values of other sorts being well maintained. An unsatisfied demand exists for good skinned wetbers in forward condition, and good ewes in lamb. We practically cleared the yards, mostly at auction. Mr Gobb's purebred Bomney ewes were in splendid order, and should be a bargin to the purchasers at the price realised. The beef offered did not sell. We quote as follows : — At Levin— Ewes in lamb, 5a 3d to 63 9d ; 2 tooth wethers (small) 7s ; forward ewes 6s lid ; 2 tooth ewes, 7s 8d ; lambs, 89 6d, 5s and 6s 9d ; 2-year steers (good) £2 12s 6d ; 2&yr do., £8 to £3 8a 6d; 18 months mixed, 87s 6d ; yearlings, 81s ; dairy cow, £4 15s.
