The Weiis Expedition.
• The mystery surrounding the fate nf Jones and Wells, the missing members of the Calvert Exploring Expedition, has at last beon cleared up. A telegram has been received at Adelaide from Margery, the leader of the relief expedition, announcing the discovery of the bodies. By handoufflng the natives and using measures, they eventually forced them to lead them to the place, where the remains were found of tho two men who were said -to have perished while leading for the Joanna springs. The bodieß of Jones and Wells were foucd near a well, close on Margery's track. Jones' body was under a tree covered with earth and that of Wells in a tent. Evidently Jones had died first and Wells partially buried him and then returned to the tent to await death. The natives had stolen all firearms and valuables, but some personal belongings including Jones' journal, was found. From the journal it ia gathered that owing to want of water and feed and also to the terrible heat, one of the camels died and othero strayed and the men were too weak and only two quarts of water left. It plaintively adds that they did not expect to last much longer. Evidences point to the fact thai they reached the spot where they perished early in November. The bodies are to be forwarded to Adelaide. The rescue party had a terrible | experienc from heat and want of feed. The camels at times were several days without water.
