The Post Office Hotel.

Mr Harnetfc, the lioeosee of the above hotel, ia the only tenant who has made the slightest attempt to make this building suitable for the trade. Prior to his coming the house was not fit for the purpose it was put to, but now it oan be looked upon as a very good secondclass hotel. When the present licensee took over the property there was a dilapidated verandah in front of the best portion of the house, and the front still retained the large windows which were piaced there when the building was a store. All this has been altered, the verandah has been removed and the windows altered so that only one third of the space of what was glass now remains. This has bad the effect of making a grand improvement in the appearanoe of the front. The stable ing has been put into order, the yard fenced, and the outbuildings made clean and respectable. In the house itself rooms have been fresh papered and additional furniture provided. The liquor is now stored in a building adjacent to the bar, from which the beer is drawn, and which keeps the beer at an even temperature. The building now consists of, besides those in use by the family, of seven bedrooms in which there are eleven beds, and of four Bitting rooms downstairs and one upstairs. A fire-escape outside adds an additional means of egress. The building has thus been very much improved and Mr Harnett is the best landlord this house has yet had.
