Captain Edwin reports to-day : •'Wind between North-west and West and South at all places North of East Gape, Taupo and New Plymouth, and between West and South and South-east at all other places. £arometer further rise everywhere. Sea heavy on all Western Coast, and vary heavy on East Coast Bouth of Bast Cape. Tides very high on Western Coast, northward of Cape Farewell, good from thence southward. Very high on all East Coast South of Bast Cape, moderate from thence northward. Southerly gales with very cold weather and rain and hair in all parts of the country, and snow on all high country in both Elands."
