Foxton Borough Council.
A special meeting of the Borough Council was held last night to c:n sider the payment or otherwise of the Beturning Officer's account, and the reply received from the Colonial Secretary.
All the Councillors except Cr Osborne were present.
Another meeting will be called for Tuesday.
The following resolution, was carried : — '• That a legal opinion be taken on the subject of Mr A. Simpson's Licensing Election expenses, and if favourable to contesting same the Foxton Borough contest same in Court, and that the Mayor, Crs Westwood and Border aot on the matter."
