Mr Labouohere has written a let ter to the Transvaal Raid Enquiry Committee tendering an apology in connection with the scenes at a recent sitting, arising out of the charges made by him against Mr Harrisi, and which led to the committee censuring Mr Labouchere. He alpo withdraws the charges against Mr Harris.
The Princess Christian, the Duchess of Connaught, the Duchess of Teck, and many other leading ladies have signed a petition to Lord Salisbury asking that steps be taken to check the spread of contagious disease among the soldiers in India.
