Foxton Borough Council.

■ ■ ♦ • A special meeting was held last night at the Library Buildings. Pressnt The Mayor (J. R. Btanaell), Grs Weßtwood, Walsh, Osborne, Hennessy and Border. The meeting was called to correct and sign Burgess 801 l and Defaulters' List and to consider and adopt estimate of receipts and expenditure for the ensuing year. It was proposed by the Mayor, and seconded by Cr West wood, That the following names be removed from the Defaulters' List and be placed upon the Burgess 801 l they having paid their rates : —Henry Arnold, Chas. H. Collins, John Harris, James Liddell, J. Brown, Mary Jane McCarthy and Charles Nelson, and that the Mayor and Crs Osborne and Hennessy sign the Burgess 801 l and that it shall b<* the Burgess 801 lof the Borough of Foxton for the ensuing year.-— Carried. Proposed by Cr Westwood, seconded by Cr Walsh, That the estimate of Income and Expenditure for year ending March 81st, 1898, be adopted by this Council. Ihe proposed Income and Expenditure presented is as follows : — INCOMB.
