Manawatu Rugby Union.
The adjourned meeting of the abave was held last night (Friday) at the Royal Hotel. Mr Giesen (Feilding Club) occupied the abair. There wss elso present — Messrs A. Mahon and Thynne (Foxton Club), I. Fake {Palmerston Club), Campion (Rongotea Club), O'Rielly (Awahuri Club), 0. Weight (Alhambra Club), Williams (Sandon Club). Rongotea expressed a desire to join the Union provided the matohes oould be •Ranged for Saturdays. It was proposed by Mr Fake, That the resolution fixing the junior championship matches for Saturdays be rescinded and that Wednesdays and Saturdays for north and sooth teams be substituted, the north to include Rongotea, Sandon, and Awahuri, and the south Palmeraton and Feilding. Seconded by Mr Campion and carried. On the motion of Mr Mahon, seconded by Mr Fake, the Sandon Club were admitted to the Union.
On the motion of Mr Parnell, seoonded by Mr Fake, it was decided that three roundi be played by the seniors and two by the junforß, the leaion to start for the seniors on the 15th and the juniors on the 12th and 15th May. The following were elected a junior match committee :— South, Mr Mahon; North, Mr Parnell; Sooth, Mr Reader, Fefldiog.
The following fixtures were arranged :— SENIORS.
May 15th— Foxton y. Feilding, at Foxtoo ; Palmerston, bye. May 29th— Palmerston v. Feilding, at Feilding ; Foxton, bye. June 5th — Palmerston v. Foxton, at Palmerston ; Feilding, bye. Jane 12th— Feilding y. Foxton, at Feilding; Palraerston, bye.
June 19th— Feilding y. Palmerston, at Palmerston ; Foxton, bye. June 26th— Palmerston v. Foxton, at Foxton ; Feilding, bye. July Brd— Foxton v. Feilding, at Foxton ; Palmerston, bye. t July lOth-Palmenton v. Feilding, at Feilding ; Foxton, bye. July 17th— Foxton y. Palmerston, at Palmerston ; Feilding, bye.—Standard.
