*» The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report on the produce markets for the week ending the 26th inst. as follows : — Wheat. — Latest advices from the South Island report that millers have satisfied their immediate require- , ments and that milling wheat has suffered a slight decline; This is, however, believed to be orily^ temporary, and an improvement* may be looked for when the reported short* age is made more apparent. orowera seem inclined to store and hold for higher rates. We quote good whole at 8* 9d to 4s, ex store, sacki extra. 1 Oats. — A. fair demand is reported ' and prices have a hardening tendency. So far this season not much ' business has been transacted, as dealers are holding off until values i are more eatabliehed. Present quotations are -For prime thort feed, 2s 8d to 2s 4d, sacks in, ex store. Maiza^-Market .has an upward movement, ..and prices are hardening. We quote prime dry maise at 8f 8d ' to 83 4d,, sacks in, ex store. Chaff.— i'he supply of prime is limited and all offering meet* with ■ ready ; sale,, at for bright heavy in • oats, 67s 6d to 709 per ton ex wharf, ) sacks extra pr returnable. :
