» A special meeting of the above was held last night at 7.30 at the Library Buildings. Present—The Mayor (^r. J. R. Btansell), and Cr*. J. Walsh, T. Weutwood and P. Hennessy. j The following tenders were received for the Hupply of 200 yards metal (more or les-) on Wirokino Road : - Symonp Bm«, 2* per yard ; Jaoats Andrews, Is 81; H. Austin, 2 8d Proposed by Cr Walsh, seconded by O Westwnod, That the tender of J. Andrews be accepted for grav< 1 at 1b 8d per yard according to epecifi oation. Carried „ Proposed by Cr West wood, seconded by Cr Walsh, That this Council fix the half holiday to be held on "Wednesday in each week, to take effect on the last Wednesday in March. Carried. There was no other business, and the Council adjourned.
