France and England are sending additional warships to Greta. The foreign Consuls intended proceeding to Halepa to pacify the insurgents there, but found they would be unable to return to Canea ; owing to the fighting. ] The Mahoinmedan9 have blockaded the Governor's palace in Canea, in Crete. Some 700 armed Christians at Haiepa confront a large body of Mahommedans. The Armenian Patriarch dec'ares that he will be unable to restrain the Armenian's revolt if the Sultan persists in his policy of deception. Five thousand inhabitants have fled from Crete, and 2000 are on board the British warships. The Cretans at Haleppa have proclaimed a unioa with Greece.
