CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS. Chkistmab Dat and New Yeab's Day. — No postal work will be transacted. Telegrams will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and;from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mails will be closed at the usual hour excepting those for Wellington by the afternoon coach, which close at 10 a.m. instead of 3 p.m. Boxiko Day. — Postal business from 9 a.nu to 10 a.m. only. Telegrams will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mails for Palmrrston, Wanganui, &c, will be closed at 7.15 a.m. instead of 8.80 a.m., and the mail for Wellington by Shannon will be closed at 10 a.m. instead of 3 p.m. P.
