Acceptances for first day's races close on Saturday, January 16 h, 1897, at 9 p.m. Entries for Trial Hurdles and Anniversary Stakes (fir.-t day), and Trial Handicap (second day), close on Satuulay, January 16th, 1897, at 9 p m. Weights for second day's races will he declared on Friday evening, January 22nd, at 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evoniug at 9 p.m. Definition of Hacks. Hacks shall mean horsos.that have never won an advertised race exceeding the net fum or value of 40 soys. at time of start (Hack and Hunter races excepted.) In all nominations description, age and pedigree must be given, together with the colours of tho rider. The advertised fee must in every oas* accompany nominations and nccaptruices. All races to be run under lha "Rules of Bacing." No betting allowed on the course except through the medium of the totalisator. The Committee reserve the right to alter any of the above date?.
