Manawatu Rowing Club.

A meeting of the committee of the above Club was held on Thursday night at Wbyte'a Hotel. The drawing for the second round of competitors who are now taking part in the sculling race resulted as follows:— W. Howan against W. Symons; 0. Collins against G. Lamb ; J. Gillespie a bye. It was also decided that the first race shall be rowed off on Tuesday next at 6.80 p.m.

It waa resolved that a handicap pair-oared inrigged race be started for two first and two second prizes, providing that not less than 18 members enter for it. The entrance fee to be Is each. The first prizes presented by Messrs Stansell and Eure, and the two second prizes to be trophies to the value of the entrance money.
