Number of votes recorded . . 3195 That the number of licenses ex- sting in the district coninue .. .. 1777 That the number of licensee existing in the district be reduced . . . . 1080 That no licenses be granted in the district . . 1221 The total number of voters whose votes were recorded at the poll was 8195, and, as the number ot votes recorded in favour of the proposal that the existing number of licenses 1 in the district continue ia an abso^ lute majority of the total number of voters as afoiesaid, I hereby declare such proposal to bo carried.
