Sir Matthew Bidley, Secretary of State for the Home Department, has informed ihe Governor of Holloway Prison that Dr Jameson is to be released immediately the doctors advise that he is in a fit state to be moved frum the prison infirmary. The Medical Journal says that Dr Jameson is in a nervous condition, and that his recovery will be slow. Dr Jameson was released from Holloway prison yesterday, and was driven to a private sanatorium. The Committee of the Frozen Meat Association is discussing a scheme propounded by Mr Weddell for cold sorting sheds. Tbe Docks Committee expresses its willingness to ereot these, in whioh case their charge would be about Id per carcase. The underwriters are favourable to the proposal, which, it is believed, would materially reduce the damage to meat and facilitate the assessment of damage. The Bradford wool market ig quiet, owing to buyers refusing the prices asked by the sellers. Best greasy combings have advanced during the week. The Americans are buying all the best paroeli. Very cold weather is being ex. perienced, and several deaths have occurred in London from this cause.
