Nominations for all events, except Trial Hardlea and Anniversary Stakeß (first day) and Trial Handicap (second day), close with the Secretary at Foxton on Thursday, December 31st, 1896, at 9 p.m. Weights for first day's races will be deolared on the 9th January, 1897. Acceptances for firat day's races close on Saturday, January 16th, 1897, at 9 p.m. Entrie3 for Trial Hurdles and Anniversary Stakes (first day), and Trial Handicap (second day), close on Saturday, January 16th, 1897, at 9 p m. Weights 7 foe seoond day's races will be declared on Friday evening, January 22nd, »t 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9 p.m. Definition ov Hacks. Hacks shall mean horses that have never won an advertised rnoe exceeding the net Bam or value of 40 sovb. at time of start Haok atttf Hunter races escepted.) In all nominations description, age and pedigree must be given, together with the colours' of the rider. The advertised fee must in every case accompany nominations and acceptances. All races to be run under the " Rules of Racing." No betting allowed on the course except through the medium of the totalisator. The Committee reserve the right to alter any of the above dates.
