Acceptances for first, day's races close on Satnrday, January 16 h, 1897, at 9 p.m. ' Entries for Trial Hurdles and Anniversary Stakes (fir?t day), and Trial Handicap (second'day), close on Saturday, January 16th, 1897, at 9 p m. ■Weights for second day's races will be deolared on Friday evening, January 22nd, at 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9 p.m. Dmsrrios o? Hacks. Haokrf shall mean horses that have never von an advertised race exceeding the net sum or value ot 40 soys. at time of start Hack and Hunter races escepted.) In all nominations description, age and pedigree must be given, together with the colours of the rider. The advertised fee must in every case accompany nominations and acceptances. All races to be run under the " Rules of Racing." No belting allowed on the course except through the medium of the totalisator. The Committee reserve the right to alter any of the above dates.
