Godlin Moth.
To those who have the codlin moth in their orchards we would draw their particular attention to section 18 of the Orchard and Garden Peat* Act, which is as follows :—'(!) Every owner or occupier of land used as an orchard, shall, during the autumn or winter season of each year, efficiently dress all the fruit trees therein with a suitable dressing for the purpose of eradicating or checking the speed of apple-ssab and codlin moth, mentioned in schedu!* B ; and if he faiU or neglects so to do he commits an offence. Provided that for the purposes of this section the Inspector may vary the gaa3oo to suit any locality. (2j Any Inspector may at any time enter upon any such land for the purpo3B of inspect' ing the same, and ascertaining whether the provisions of the. last preceding subsection hereof have been complied with.
Section 18— Every person offending against any of the provisions of this Act, or of any regulation made hereunder, is liable to a penalty not exceeding ten pounds for every such offence
