Acceptances for first day's races olose on Saturday, January 16th, 1897, at 9 p.m. Entries for Trial Hurdles and Anniver eary Stakes (first day), and Trial Handicaj (seoond day), close on Saturday, January 16th, 1897, at 9 p m. Weights for second day's races will bi deolared on Friday evening, January 22nd at 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9 p.m Definition of Hacks. Hacks shall mean horseß that have neve won an advertised race exceeding the ne sum or value of 40 bovb. at time of star (Hack and Hunter races excepted.)
