Manawatu Rowing Club.

A committee meeting of the aboVe tes held last night at Whyte's Hotel, when the following business ?aa transacted. Messrs B. G. Gower, W. Lang-* on, S. Easton, B. Young, Robson nd tbe Key. J. Yonng were elected Qembers. Mr Overend Was elected a member f the committee in the place of Mr jyall, resigned. It was resolved that the Bowing 3lub place the Nikau and Bata at he disposal of the Sports Committee o celebrate the launching of new teamer, providing that half the Committee consist of Bowing Club nembere, viz., Messra Stansell, Howan and Eure. It was also decided to have a mailen sculling race in Nikan and Bata or a cup presented by Mr Curtis, mtries to close with the secretary on : he 7ih proximo, the course to be rom Anderson's mill to north end >f wharf.
