The Manawatu Heads.

The other day we wrote to Mr J. G. Wilson, M.H.8., pointing oat the delay that had arisen in offering tha sections at the Wharangi for lease, and auked him to use his influence to hurry the matter on. The follow* ing letter, which he has courteously plaoed at our disposal, explains iisslf, and is very satisfactory :— Department of Lands and Surrey, Wellington, 17th Oct., 1896. Sis, - I have just reoeiTed from the Commissioner of Grown Lands the particulars and conditions of salt of the allotments at Manawatu Heads, and I hope the announce* ment of the date of sale will appear in next week's Gazette. I have the honeur to be, Sir, Tour obedient serrant, John MoKixna, Minister of Lands.
