A Note For Vegetarians.
It is a noticeable fact that, with all other great advances they have made during recent years, the stature and physique of the Japanese people have remained remarkably deficient. A parliamentary commission appointed by the mikado's government to Investigate the causes of this lack of stamina has after prolonged investigation ascribed it to the vegetable diet to which the Japanese mainly confine themselves.
