The following programme of thft Su mmer Meeting is proposed sabjtet to approval of the Metropolitsa Club, to be held on the 22nd and 28rd January, 1897:—
First day — Plying Stakes Handicap, 85 soys., | mile ; Trial Hurdles, 25 soys., 1£ miles; First Handicap Hardies, 40 soys., If miles ; F.R.C. Handicap, 75 soys., 1£ miles ; AnnU vorsary Stake?, 20 so vs., 1 mile ; First Welter Handicap, 26 sots., 1 mile and a distance ; Stewards' Stakes Handicap, 45 soys., 1J mile*. Second day— Railway Handicap, SO 30 vs., 7 furlong 3 ; Second Handicap Hardies, 35 sots.. 1& miles ; President's Handicap, 60 so vs., 1£ miles ; Trial Handicap, 20 sov3., | mile ; Second Welter Handicap, 25 sots., 1 mite and a distance ; January Handicap, 40 soys., 1 mile ; Electric Handicap, 25 soys., 5 furlongs.
