How to Brush Velvet.
It is ruinous to velvet to brush it with anything save the softest surface. Some careful women make their own whisks, which they employ for nothing else, and which are constructed of a very tight roll of any soft threaded oloth frayed out for two or three inches. A perfectly new hare's foot, such as iB sold for the application of face powder, ought to serve the same purpose, as it is very stoufc and still very soft in touch.
