Chicago Street Names.
A man from the country was riding West on a Madison street cable oar the other day. Pretty soon tho conduotor palled out, "Mayl" stopped the oar, and a lady got off. ' A moment op two after he called, "Ann I" stopped the car, and two ladies gathered their bundles and stepped off. Another block or two, and he called, "Elizabeth!" and the game performance was repeated. Then carao "Adn!" and a woman and child alighted. After a few more blocks he sang out, "Paulina l" and three ladies left the car. The stranger had looked on open mouthed, but this was too muoh for him. Clutching the conductor'! ooat, he asked, "Say, mister, do you know the name of every woman in Chicago and where she wants to got off?"—Adta&o*. ___«__
