Foxton Railway Station.
From the Departmental Report we take the following particulars of the traffic at the Puxton railway Fta*ion for tha year ending 31st March, 1896 :-
Tha traffic expenditure was £877 9s 91 There were 8,861 ordinary ticket?, and 40 season tickets sold. Outwards there were despatched 688 parcel?, 73 horses, 3 carriages, and 89 dogs ; inwards there were received 1497 parcels, 66 horses, 1 carriage, and 49 dogs. In goods', there were sent outwards: 2 'drays, 10 cattle, 423 shsep, 39 pig 3, 84 tons ch iff and lime, 397 tons of wdol, 283 t.on9 of firewood, 92 tons timber, 2042 tons grain, 2837 tons merchandise, 756 tons minerals, making a total of 6498 tons. Inwards : 18 drays, 18 cattle, 3513 sheep, 89 pigs, 864 tons chaff and lime, 1193 tons wool, 758 tons firewood, 468 tons timber, 582 tons grain, 965 tons
raerchondise, 234 tons minerals, making a total of 5062 tons.
