The Faust Family.
To-morrow night, at the Public Hall, the above clever Company will give one of their enjoyable entertainments. Times just now are not good, but then a hearty laugb and good music are capital antidotes to the " blues " and the small outlay necessary to visit the company may fairly be looked upon as a " medical comfort.'.' A late exchange referring to the Faust Family says:— Taking their entertainment from Btart to finish, the various members of the company are clever, ornate in everything they do, and everything they present has an artistic finish which is onlyiound in artists of the first rank. Be it as ballringersi tolling the latest of popular ballads ; be it as grotesque musicians, extracting sweet music from violins whilst turning somersaults or holding the instruments in all manner of difficult and seeming impossible positions ; be it as pantomimisfcs, or be it. as burleequers of music in imitating the yelping of numerous curs on clarionet and bassoon, they are inimitable and create roars of laughter and cause splendid fun. As comic singers several members of the Company are supreme, their repetoire seeming to be inexhaustible. The marvellous acrobatic exhibition entitbd the " Risley " alone is worth going miles to "see, and in itself is worth the 'money charged for admission. Since last seen here numerous new features have been introduced in this clever set, notable amongst them being the turning of a>-treble somersault by Master Freddy off Mr Ted Faust's feet, an act which we under Btand has never been attempted by anyone else, and is not likely to find any imitators. We heartily recom mend our country readers "to patronise the Company's entertainment during their brief stay here and can guarantee that they will not repent coming any distance to witness it.
