To Let, those Valuable Premises at the comer of lain and Clyde-streets. What are they suited for ? Almost any Business — the following are a few : — BANK If another Bank were to open on such a commanding position and allow their clients larger overdrafts with less security, that Bank would do the largest local trade, A DBAPER If a good Draper were to start on this particular corner and give more credit, and sell as cheaply as Edmtod Osbobnb, of The Centre of Commerce does, he could almost reckon on taking second position ' within three months. A GENBBAL STORE Competent judges say this is the best stand in Foxton for a general store on account of ita large frontage (about 240 ft.), and its proximity to the wharf and railway station. A SHOEMAKER Perhaps not— lt might cause a " Start up," and as the position is so central people would not wear out so many boots as if they had to walk further, A BUTCHER Its adaptability suggests the thought that this is the most suitable site in Foxton. The cool sea breeze being gently wafted along Clyde-street during summer would have such a beneficial effect, that our local butchers must look with a longing eye. A BAKES If any Baker thinks he has made a mistake in not securing this section he might remove his oven because Edmund Osboi.ke says he doesn't care how many ovens are built on his property. A BLACKSMITH A nice front shop with finished work on view, and an entrance to work-shop from Clyde street would be a boon to any energetic man. A CABPENTEB A good tradesman could build on such a prominent corner a Bhop that would 1 be a standing advextaement as to the work he wou'd be prepared to do for his clients. A TAILOR The position of the windows are such that a Customer would have the advantage of comparing the effect of the different shades of light on the Tweeds, &c, before deciding. A SADDLER All Leather Goods could be exposed for sale in the Clyde-street window quite away from the sun, while in Main-street could be shown s'.inup irons, bits, whips, plough chains, &c, and a trade might be worked up surprizingly. A PAINTER * What part'of the townjcould a Painter display his skill upon better than at this Premier stand ? A CHEMIST Our local Chemist has shown his good judgment in building, as near to this as possible— but oh! If he had only built on it ! A GENERAL COMMIS- This section offers every attraction for such an agency, having plenty of yard room, and is the nearest BION AGENT. business site in Foxton to the wharf and railway station. LAST AND BEST— A A°claily paper, equal to the " Post " or " Times " published on this section and sold at one penny would NEWSPAPER OFFICE, affect our local papers to such an extent that the writer believes the two local editors would-be prepared to accept positions on.its staff as editor at £1000, and sub-editor at £800 per annum. o Now after reading the above don't you[tbink it would be wise for all tbe Businesses in Foxton to amalgamate and run one large Co operative Store on this section, ant) divide the profits with the purchasers ? Think of ii, and talk about OSBORNE'S CORNER SECTION as much as convenient. For further particulars, apply to EDIWUNO OSBORNE, The Draper, MAIN-STREET, FOXTON.
