■» «- A special meeting of the above was held at the Library Buildings yesterday morning at 11 o'clock. Present— The Mayor (G. Nye), Ors. West wood, Hennessy, Osborne, and Walsh. The meeting was called to consider the tenders received for work on r- No, 6 Line and part of Cemetery Boad West. Proposed by Cr Hennessy, seconded by Cr Osborne, That the tender of 0. Nelson be accepted for No. 1 Contract at 5s and 8s per chain respectively. Carried. Proposed by Cr Walsh, seconded by Cr Westwood, That the tender of James Andrews at 83 per chain be accepted for No. 2 Contract. Carried. This was all the business; and the Council adjourned.
