# Reports from Fort Salisbury state that 40 whites and 100 Zulus have repulsed a force of Maahonas, killing 25 of their number. The natives have burned Murendella. Captain White has relieved Fort Charter, marching from Bulawayo in 12 days, and defeating the rebels. He found that the insurrection extended all along the route. Captain Beal has relieved 200 whites who were beleaguered at Elgforn. Lord Grey, Administrator for the - Chartered Company, has accepted
■ an offer from the Cape Government to transport a corps to Rhodesia on condition that the company pays the costs. The corps has been ordered to proceed to Beira. Captain Ware's patrol burned kraals and killed 15 of the enemy, who took refuge in the caves.
