He put in telegrams from Napier explaining reasons for Mr Mortensen's non appearances Mr Hawkins applied for an adjournment for a month as the applicant had sold oat to & man named John Watson. The Committee were inclined to take this course wheri it was shown by Constable Gillespie that there was M potter under the Act to enable a transfer to take place; Then Constable Gillespie called Mr dußtwidkj special Inspector of licensed houses, Who detailed the nriiatisfacitorr state of the premises, entirely corroborating Constable Giliespie's statement at last meeting. The lioense was granted to Mr Mortensen, Mr Dwan undertaking to see a change ib the oeeupier was made at once; It was announced that the dotdmittee Were Unanimous that a change should take place, rind it was only on Mr Dwan undertaking to enforce his rights under his Bill of Sale that the license was granted.
