Tht trial of Jameson and his officers has been resumed at Bow street Polio* Court. Iloflf (grandson of President Kruger) and several Boer officials were examined. Many letters and telegrams and Major White's diary were produced, and these showed the development of the plot. A caucus of the Government supporters is to be convened, at which the leaders of the Cabinet will be present to discuss the Voluntary Schools Bill and the obstruction offered to the measure. Mr Balfour, Leader of the House, intimates that he will insist ou the vital clauses oi the measure being ace >pted. Hemp is dull. Forty bales New Zealand were withdrawn. Seven hundred crates New Zealand cheese were sold by auction at 82a to 853. Frozen meat is unobanged. Colonial oats, fine quality, 24s 6d ; common, 21s 6d ; beans, 27s 3d. The Bradford wool market is restricted. The Antwerp wool sales closed at prices 5 per cent, below the February rates. A considerable quantity was withdrawn. Tallow— Fine mutton, 20j 6d ; medium, 19a ; beef, fine, 18s 6d ; medium, 173 6d. The Treasury proposes asking foe a vote of £3,000,000 sterling to com* plete the railing from Membassa to Lake Victoria Nyanza.
