The Evening Post.

On Tuesday evening the Wellington " Evening Post " appeared in a new form as an eight paged paper which is printed on one of Foster's Web Machines which cuts, print*, folds, and count 3in dozens, 10,000 perfected copies of the new size of paper, in the hour. The firm hava two of these machines. The new paper ia printed in a new brick building in Willis street, whioh ocsfc nearly £9000. The first issue has a long account of the new premiasa and" we glean from it that the Post was first issued on the Bt.h February, 1865, in the shape of a demy sheet measuring 16* inches by 10 inches and its early "issues numbered 250, and now the Post claims a circulation of 10,300. The original proprietors were the late Mr Henry Blundell, senr., and Mr David Curie. There was a quiat little opening ceremony when the, Miss BlundeH'a christened the machines •• Victoria " and " Wellington," and other ladies started them. Mr D. M. Loclcie proposed "The Health of the Proprietors of tho Evening Post and prosperity to the paper" and Mr John Blundell replied.
