Messrs Mayo & Sons.

tfoday we imrert the advertisement of the Above firm. Last year Mesan Mayo & Sons had a similar advertisement and rhthy trees from; tkeir nurßerita came this way and ... have given satisfaction. The firm CaJiave a nursery near Longburn and a good many acres under cultivation, mostly by the spade, and every year they plant an acre of orehar^. ' The advertisement notes u Ho codlln moth;" this is ail important item of information io purchasers. Fruit, forest trees, and shrubs, are said to aumber ten millions. Mr Mayo the founder of the firm is now a government fruit expert, and his genial face haß been frequently noticed about the district. We noted last year that Mr Mayo strongly recommended the growth of the walnut, and Mr John Strang planted some four acres with these trees. We took the opportunity the • other day when calling upon Mr - George Nye to obtain his opinion on this subject* and he fully approves of the suggestion. This should be satisfactory backing up as Mr Nye at Sunnyaidc, has an acre in walnuts some 12 years old, and he finds they pay well, and have been in bearing since they were 8 years old. Plant, plant, has been our recommendation for nearly the life of this newspaper, and Foxfcon proves, by the well planted areas, that the tdvice has not been thrown away. We still advise, keep on planting.
