Testimonial to Mr Cowles.
To-night, at the Masonic Hall, the friends who have subscribed towards a testimonial to Mr E. P. Oowles will take the opportunity of presenting him with a part of such testimonial. A few days ago Mr W. S. Stewart interviewed the business people and residents on this matter and promptly obtained £8. With this amount a handsome gold albert watch chain has been obtained and will be given this evening, and with the balance of the money Mr Cowles will be asked to purchase a clock.
