Tbe committee appointed at the last general meeting met last night at Mr Earner's residence and drew up a set of rules for presentation to the general meeting to be held on Tuesday evening. ' A sub committee reported upon a suitable r,ooni in' the event of the Borough Council not agreeing to the proposals made to them. An estimate was formed of the oost of the necpssary furniture which was placedrat.£s. The secretary was authorised to get half a doz.n small tables made and softie sets of chessmen and draughts. The secretary informs us that Mr A. E. T. Nixon, one of the vicepresidents, had forwarded a donation of one guinea. " "
