On Monday evening householders are directed to assemble at the various school houses within the different Educational Districts and there and then elect a school committee for the ensuing twelvemonths. " The School Committees Election Act, 1891 " is a wonderful measure mas much it directs that a list of candidates must be displayed on the outer door of every schoolhouse a week prior to the election. The wisdom of taking these steps is not very apparent beyond the fact that anyone who has been properly nominated has not to ba present at the election, as another clause orders thit any j householder present at the meeting I may nominate a candidate.
