Two New York burglars have been arrested in London for a jewellery robbary involving £20,000. Mr Barney Barnato, the South African millionaire, has stated that President Eruger is determined to promote peace and friendship. Mr Obaplin, President of the Local Government Board, has introduced a Bill to relieve farming land in England, assessing it at half the rateable value.
The loss in local rates which will result if this Bill is carried is estimated at a million and a half per annum.
The London Building Unions threaten to strike in May for a halfpenny per hour increase in pay and a new code of rules.
