The Remains of an Ancient Temple Found.
■« •— A discovery, of some interest has made near Rome. A Frenoh gentleman M. Graillofc, it is announced, while exploring last month in the Campagna, recognised and disen* tombed the remains, of an ancient temple dating back to the seventh century before Christ. Among the objects unearthed are several vases, like those discovered in Ebrusoan sepnlcres, scarabei, bronze rings, and more especially several fragments of antique architectural decoration and statues in painted earth. M. Graillot supposes the ruins to bo those of the temple of 4< Mater Matula," mentioned by the historian Lisy.
