» ■ — The Chicago packers have been kept very busy. Messrs Armour & Co. recently sold 500,0001bs of tinned corned beef out of Londoa stook. This parcel was required for the flying squadron. For more than three years no orders have been plaoed with American firms for canned meats by the Imperial Government, the supplies having been got from our own oolonies. We hear that Messrs Armour & Co. have quite re~ oently completed a contract with the French Government for 2,000,000 lha nf -.a/nnari haaf.
