The Shooting Case.

At the Magistrate's Court on Thursday morning, before Mr H. S. Wardell, S.M., Sir Robert Stout and Mr W. H. Field appeared on behalf of Karl Locher (now in custody with &s wife on the charge of attempted murder), and applied for bail for the male prisoner. Inspector Pender stated that he thought the police were prepared to identify Locher with the act, and he wonld therefore, aslc that bail be re - fused. Every facility would be given Locher while in custody to arrange his business matters. His Worship decided to refuse bail.— N.Z. Times.
