Presentation to Miss J. Ray.
» * Yesterday afternoon the teachers and children presented Miss Josephine Bay, pupil teacher at the Foxton State School with an ad*
dres3 and testimonial oil her promotion as a teacher of the Ougo Road School. Four" of the mevribers of, the Committee attended and Mr Stansell on beha'f of the donors addressed a few approbate words to Miss Itay, and* presented her with a valuable Gladstone bag. The address, was road by Miss Mabel Hughes which testified to the esteem Miss Bay was held in Jay the pupils and the regret felt by «4lnem at her departure. The Headmaster also took the opportunity of mentioning the many pleasing traits in Miss Bay's conduct of her school dutiea. Mr Bay returned thanks for his daughter to the Headmaster, teachers and scholars for the kind words spoken and the gift presented which was so entirely unexpected.
