Wool Sales.

The New Zealand Loan And Mercantile Agency Company report :— The sale opened to a full attendance of buyers who operated freely in the DBtter quality of wools. Bidding, was fairly spirited throughout. Our catalogue consisted of 524 bales, of which about 65 per cent was sold under the hammer, and we expect ■_t to be able to place the greater part of the balance privately. Greasy crossbred showed no material alteration, prices obtained being on a par with those ruling at last sale. For lamb 3 the demand was very active, and the figures secured indicated an advance of $d to £d per lb on last aale3' rates. This wa3 due to the quality, which was much superior to that of any of the parcels offered on 17th ultimo, being longer, brighter, and showing more character. Scoured wools were neglected.
