Sudden Death of Mrs Border.

Yesterday at half-past one, p.m., Mrs Border, the wife of the licensee of the Foxton Family Hotel, was sitting in the kitchen when she appatently was seized with a fit, as the maid found her on the floor, j Bhe immediately informed Mr Border who went for medical aid and Mr Hamer arrived prior to Dr Lamb Mr Hamer was unable to do any * thing and in a few minutes after his arrival Bhe expired. Dr Lamb, who saw the deceased lady a few minutes after her death, thought the cause of her sudden decease arose from failure of the heart's action. Great sympathy ia expressed by one and all for Mr Border, who, during bis residence here has proved himself an honest and eneigetic citizen. Mrs Border was a native of Ballymouutaiu, Kilkenny, Ire and. She was married in London and came out to the colonies with Mr Border in 1870. There are no f children, but Mrs Border's sister, *■ Mrs Redmond, is a well known Wellington resident. At the requost of her friends, Mr Border has decided to bury the deceased at Wellington. The sad event was not wholly un > looked for, as. for many years Mrs Border was in a weak state of health ; indeed, some year or two ago the then resident doctor had given it as his opinion that she would not live twelve months.
