was heartily sung by the congregation, Mrs Aitkens accompanying on the church organ brought* to the site. At the proper time the Bishop set the pile true and square and " rammed " the aoft around in a proper workmanlike manner. The Bishop toward* the close of the ser* vice gave a valuable address straight ; from the heart. Contributions towards the building fund were placed on the block and amounted to the satisfactory sum of £16 10s in cash and promises. There was a good attendance of parishioners, and the weather was most propitiating, for, though hot* it Was an excellent afternoon. The ladies of. the congregation supplied afternoon tea, which was most ac-» ceptable, and was a kindly contribution on their parts towards the important cetemony of the day, given withotiD expectation of fee or reward. The particulars of the Church we have already previously published, and it is satisfactory to record that the Vicar's suggestions in all matters relating to the erection of ! the church have been approved of by both the Diocesan Trustees and the parishioners. We are informed that the building committee are under much obliga tion.to Mr Peter Bartholomew for providing the necessary timber at a low price and giving an extended credit without interest. The " ram mer " used was made of honeysuckle and after being polished and mounted will be presented to His Lordship the Bishop as a memento of his visit.
AUSTRALIA'S NATIONAL RESTOEATIVE. CLEMENTS' TONIC RESTORES, VIGOUR, HEALTH AND VITALITY OF YOUTH, CURES WEAKNESS, LASSITUDE, DEBILITY, INDIGESTION, PROMPTLY AND PERMANTLY. Mrs Mary Kirk, Manners st., WelCUred Of lington, New Zea Eruptive Sores, fond* writes , on Aug. 6, 1894:— I am very much pleased to inform you that Clements Tonic has effected a most permanent oure in my case, which was as follows: For years I was a sufferer from eruptive sores all over my body and legi. I expended a great deal of moni^y in every conceivable remedy and on docors, and sometimes was relieved temporarily by using salveß or ointments, but after a time the sores would break out with fresh virulence. I had lost faith in medicines, when by chance I read one of your advertisements, and resolved to try Clements' Tonic. I purchased a bottle, and found it did me good. I continued its use, and I must have used about a dozen bottles, and am joyful of the result, for I am now (and have been for over twelve months) free from all sores or eruptions, and have very good health indeed. — I am, yours thankfully, Mary Kirk, Munnera-atreet, Wellington, Now Zealand. BAD MONEY. YOU CAN'T Have a cake and cat it too, but you can have your meat and keep it in tho warmer of weather by using " Salsaline," the great food preservative. * THE WEAK & NERVOUS REQUIRE »'■ ■♦ A wholesome Tonic, suoh aa Wolfe's Schnapps, to give necessary imp. tus to the vital machinery and to render it healthfully active.
